Gujarati TOP 10 Best Ahmedabad Times Most Desirable Men on TV
Vatsal Sheth is Ahmedabad Times Most Desirable Man 2020
Fame:
What are your thoughts on being the Ahmedabad Times Most Desirable Man 2020? Finally, I have made it! It feels great and I am thankful to Ahmedabad Times for this honour. Also, this wouldn’t have been possible without the love that my fans have showered on me. I just want to thank them for their constant support. Isheeta is happier than me with this development! According to you, which are the qualities that make you desirable? What qualities in a woman make her desirable? Honesty really attracts me and that’s one quality that makes a woman really desirable. How has your journey been in television and films so far? When I look back, it has been a very long journey already! But it has been really amazing because I have got to play different kinds of roles, which includes playing the chocolate boy, negative roles and even playing a ghost in a web show! Right now, I am growing a beard for an upcoming film and I am really excited about it. It’s something that I have never attempted before and I just feel blessed that I have got roles that have been very different from one another. Who, according to you, are the most desirable men and women in the country? Honestly, I am not sure about it. Since the pandemic hit us in 2020, how have you changed as a person? And how has it changed things for you professionally? During the lockdown last year, while we were stuck home, Isheeta and I thought of doing something to try and stay in a positive frame of mind. So, we started creating these funny videos. We hadn’t done much comedy before this but the response we got was truly overwhelming. As a Gujarati, I also feel very happy that a couple of our Gujarati videos did really well. In fact, one of our videos has crossed 49 million views and all these things have happened organically. So, it’s a huge thing for us and we have got messages of appreciation from all over the globe. With more time on my hands, I also tried learning to play the flute and read books. This ongoing pandemic is truly unfortunate and it has been extremely tough for all of us. I have tried to pick up new s****s. For actors, working from home isn’t an option and I hope whatever I have learnt will help me in the long run. I try to be optimistic because this prevailing situation won’t last forever and things will improve. The pandemic has made me realise that we take so many things for granted, including the simple pleasures like meeting friends and going out for a walk. Both Ishiita and I love travelling and I feel that whenever we travel next, we will cherish it a lot more. I believe that all of us will value our freedom and everything else a lot more once this pandemic is over. Your thoughts on the future of the Gujarati film industry? I am excited about making my debut in Gujarati films and had the situation been normal, our movie would have released last year itself. I think the Gujarati film industry is in a very good space and some amazing films are being made. As a proud Gujarati, I would love to do more Gujarati projects. There’s certainly growing demand for Gujarati content on various platforms and it’s heartening. I also feel very happy when I see Gujarati actors like Pratik Gandhi doing such amazing work and it’s really inspiring. |
