Default It's not Salman, but Shah Rukh who will be on KJo's first Lift Karade episode

Yash Raj Films makes their TV debut with few new shows on Sony on January 1. And Karan Johar, the "son and student" of "Yash uncle's film studio," is hosting Lift Kara De, a non-fiction show which will celebrate super stars and their biggest and craziest fans. And KJo true to his loyalties towards his "best friend, Shah Rukh" will have the star grace the first episode.

There was news which suggested that Salman Khan will be the first celebrity guest, considering he has hosted two seasons of Sony's Dus Ka Dum. So it was reported that Sony was keen to have Salman open the 20-week show.

Interestingly, Priyanka Chopra was the first celebrity to shoot for the show. It was also believed that she will be the one flagging the first episode because she is doing Chopras' Pyaar Impossible which is set to release soon.

But looks like Yash Raj made it clear that it will be Shah Rukh, who, after all, will appear on the first episode.
A source informs, "Sony wanted Salman as the first celebrity guest because he has been very lucky for them and both the seasons of Dus Ka Dum had become very popular. But the Chopras made it clear that it will be Shah Rukh followed by 19 other celebrities every week."
Karan Johar confirmed it is SRK, "the family hero of Yash Raj films" as the first guest.
Lift Kara De will have also have celebrities like Amitabh Bachchan, Lata Mangeshkar, Dharmendra, A R Rahman, Rani Mukerji, Preity Zinta, Kajol among others.
