Based on their popularity on the small screen, votes cast in an online poll and an internal jury, these handsome men on Hindi television with oodles of talent and appeal have found a spot on the list. Sidharth Shukla, who has topped the list this year, was The Times Most Desirable Man on TV last year, too. He continues to rule hearts with his charisma, cool personality and, of course, his acting chops.

How does it feel to be voted as The Times Most Desirable Man on TV for the second consecutive year?
I like it! Who doesn’t want to be desirable? I don’t mind a permanent spot on this one (laughs!).

Last year, when you grabbed the top spot, you were quite surprised. Were you expecting it this year?
Honestly, I don’t expect anything. I’m happy doing my work, entertaining my audience, and I leave the rest to them. Ultimately, it’s their love that gets us the rewards.

But, there must be some attributes of yours that have impressed people, especially the women. What’s the secret?
You know, I would love to ask them what it is that they like about me. If you ask me, I would guess the no-filter attitude. I am who I am, take it or leave it! And I think that honesty is probably what people like the most.

We took questions from your fans, and this is what most of them asked — Is Sidharth Shukla taken?
I would say, keep guessing (smiles!). I’m single if you want me to be and taken if you desire so!

On the work front, you have done films, TV shows, music videos, and now, you recently forayed into the OTT world, what’s next on your list?
Exciting and challenging work that makes my heart rush and say, ‘Yes, I have to do this!’

The last two years have been challenging for everyone, both physically and emotionally. How have these been for you? What are the few things you’ve learnt about yourself amid the pandemic?
