Honey
There are many kinds of honey. The kind that’s best for you is known as “raw” honey, or in some cases, “organic” honey. Most honey that you find in the store has all kinds of added fillers, such as high fructose corn syrup (definitely not good for you). Look for honey that’s – well – 100% pure honey. This kind of honey does not stay in a liquid form on a store shelf. If you find honey that’s basically in a solid state, chances are good you’ve found real honey. Real honey from the region in which you live is so helpful. The reason is that raw, local honey is made with the same plants that usually cause allergies. If you eat raw honey local to you region every day, you naturally build up a resilience against allergic responses. As if that weren’t enough, raw honey is packed full of all kinds of antioxidants that have been linked to a reduced risk of heart disease.
