Joe Biden appears to be on the verge of becoming the president-elect for the United States.
The Associated Press has projected Biden will receive at least 264 Electoral College votes, and he needs 270 Electoral College votes to become the next president of the United States.
The race has not been called as of Friday evening.

The Joe Biden/Kamala Harris ticket leads in three states — Pennsylvania, Georgia, and Nevada — each of which would give him the 270 Electoral College votes needed to clinch the presidency.
Campaign officials told media Friday that Biden would speak to the nation in primetime tonight.

What time did Joe Biden speak last night?

He began speaking about 10:50 p.m. ET.
U.S. Senator Kamala Harris, who is on the ticket with Joe Biden as vice president, was expected to speak as well.
Harris was expected to speak before Biden, an aide confirmed. Although it’s not customary for the vice presidential candidate to speak at an address of this sort, Harris would be the first woman and first African American and South Asian-American vice president in history.
Where will Joe Biden, Kamala Harris speak?

A stage was set up in Wilmington, Delaware, in the parking lot for the Chase Center on the Riverfront.
Red, white and blue cars and Jeeps were positioned in a circle in front of the stage.
But as of 9:40 p.m. ET, there are no longer plans for an outdoor speech Friday night, and he will instead speak from inside Chase Center.
The Chase Center is where Biden accepted the Democratic Party nomination during the Democratic National Convention in August.
