The actress will be seen making a grand entry at the premiere of the show. Sumbul will be seen winning hearts with her performance to the popular song Chaka Chak from Sara Ali Khan's film Atrangi Re. While her face is not clearly seen in order to create suspense, fans are certain she is their beloved Imlie.

The actress, who gained fame and notoriety for her role in the television show Imlie, will now be spotted in the Bigg Boss 16 mansion. At the show's debut, the actress arrived in style. With her rendition of the Chaka Chak song from Sara Ali Khan's movie Atrangi Re, Sumbul captures audiences' hearts. Salman asks Sumbul whether she is nervous, and she reveals that she is not nervous about the show but nervous about Weekend Ka Vaar. She has seen the episodes so many times that now she has it all by heart. She tells Salman Khan that she can even enact all his shades of Weekend Ka Vaar. After mimicking his walk, Sumbul enacts Salman Khan's weekend ka Vaar mode. She mimics his anger, his let ke host karunga, Sumbul sleeps on the stage. She then says that she cannot laugh like him but mimics without the sound. Salman asks her about her journey and Sumbul reveals that she has seen many hardships in life. She has lived alone at times while growing up and also taken care of her sister too. She talks about living on her own and knows every household chore. In talking about her father, she reveals that he showed her all the fighting clips of Bigg Boss when she discussed participating in the show. He motivated her with a poem and here she is. While reciting the poem, Sumbul's father comes to the stage to send his daughter into the house. Not just her father, Salman Khan is also proud of her.
Sumbul reveals that she had met Salman while shooting for her previous show when he had come to promote Prem Ratan Dhan Payo. Salman and Sumbul's father sends her inside the house with all the best wishes. When she enters the house, she introduces herself but Archana mocks her with Shiv as Shambu.
With just a few days left for Bigg Boss 16 to premiere on the small screen, the channel has started releasing promos of some of the confirmed contestants. The latest one features Sumbul Touqeer, who played the title role in the TV show, Imlie.

Sumbul Touqeer was born on November 15, 2003 in Katni, Madhya Pradesh. She is an actress, known for Article 15 (2019), Imlie (2020) and Ishaaron Ishaaron Mein (2019).
Sumbul Khan was born on 15 November 2003 in Delhi to a Muslim family. Her father Touqeer Hasan Khan is a Choreographer in television industry. She has an younger sister, Saniya Touqeer who is also an actress. Her parents were separated, when she was six. Her father raised her.
Sumbul has started her career as a child artist in television industry. She starred in the character of Mehtab (niece of Akbar) in Jodha Akbar followed by Waaris on &TV channel. In 2009, she entered Sony TV’s show, Chandragupta Maurya. where she portrayed the important role of Shubhada. In 2019, she made her Bollywood debut with the film Article 15.

The excitement level is high because I am going to do something different. I am a little nervous too because there are a lot of expectations from me that I am going to fare very well. There is a lot of responsibility now because there are a lot of expectations. I will try my best to not get pressured because of the expectations because if I start feeling that pressure I won’t be able to do anything. I’ll start shivering.

I feel how your image gets portrayed on Bigg Boss depends on you. If you are right, nobody in the world can portray you negatively. You should just have to stay honest to yourself and my father and I have full faith in me. I am honest and am going to play the game with full honesty. I wont claim that I will win the show but I would definitely play well.
I feel blessed that the opportunity came to me so early in my career
In one word if I have to describe my family’s reaction, I would say they all went bonkers. Half of them were shocked and surprised that I had started my career, just two years ago and have already bagged a show like Bigg Boss. Usually, it takes a lot of time and people mostly take up the show after working for sometime in the industry. I feel blessed that the opportunity came to me so early in my career. My family and friends are very happy.
Sumbul on dealing with fights
I am one of those who doesn’t react to instigation very easily. I have seen and faced many challenges in life when I was a kid and that time I had reacted to things in a wrong way. So now I know you should not react to instigation. If you have seen the film Zootopia, and the character Flash, I am like him. I will react to things after 10 seconds. It will come very late. I think if I'm in the right state of mind I’ll handle things in a better way but there will be times when I’ll also lose my temper because after all I am a human.
I have stayed alone for three years and took care of my house
I am very good at doing household chores. I have stayed alone for three years and taken care of my house and my young sister. I know everything when it comes to household chores and in fact I do it happily. I love to cook and feed people. I would love to do it and if someone else cooks I would enjoy eating a lot.
