Now this one is sure to shock many of the TV buffs as recent buzz from telly town states that Zee TV’s remarriage saga, Punar Vivah helmed by Shashi Sumeet Mittal Productions Pvt Ltd, is all set to bid adieu to its fans in the month of June, 2013.

Wondering what the reason is? Well, as per a source, “First of all the story is coming to its logical conclusion. But the show’s lead Gurmeet Choudhary’s (Yash) differences with the makers can also be one of the reasons for the show’s demise.”

The source added, “It is believed that Gurmeet used to come late on the sets and was focused more on his upcoming film project. Furthermore, he took up Nach Baliye (Star Plus) without informing the makers of Punar Vivah. Hence, the creatives of the soap was chalking out a plot which would have seen Yash’s character being eased out, marking the end of Gurmeet’s role. Before that could happen, Gurmeet decided to walk out of the project, hence bringing the show to a closure.”

One of the team members of the show revealed, “I have heard about the show going off-air. It is expected that we will be informed by the channel in a day or two. And yes, Gurmeet having issues with the production house is also something which has been in news on the sets.”

Meanwhile, Gurmeet said, “Not heard any such things of the show going off air so far. On the contrary, I am enjoying being a part of the project.”

Seems the journey has come to an end!
