X Factor judge row: Cheryl Cole hits out at 'stupid' Louis Walsh

Cheryl Cole has lashed out at 'stupid' fellow X Factor judge Louis Walsh, further escalating the rift on the show’s panel between the four heavyweights.

Cheryl Cole and Louis Walsh are at each other's throats off camera as well as on

Blasting the Irish music supremo after he criticised her image on the show, it seems the war between Chezza and Simon Cowell against Louis and Dannii Minogue is about to boil over.
Louis, 58, labelled the Geordie judge ‘trashy with a fake tan’ and laid into her claiming she placed herself above her own contestants’ welfare.
But 27-year-old Cheryl isn’t taking his banter lying down and has today shot back at his insult: 'It was really out of context. It was random. I just said to him “If there’s a problem, come to my dressing room, and let’s have it out. Why are you shouting at us? What’s that all about?”
'I hadn’t even mentioned myself when he said “It’s not all about you – you’re making yourself look stupid!” No, actually, you are Louis.’
But the Promise This singer didn’t stop there. She also hinted in X Magazine that Louis - who has successfully managed top bands including Westlife, Boyzone and JLS - believes in the show more than he does his over-28s category.

This latest spat comes after Simon Cowell declared a rift was brewing between the four judges. he made it clear he didn’t have to stand for any diva behaviour though as he told how ‘no judge is safe’ for the next series of the ITV show.

'No job is safe – you’ve got to be popular with the viewers. You’ve got to earn your right to be on the show,' Cowell warned.
‘This is a very good, highly paid job.'

Viewers have seen the friction between the four egos firsthand. On Saturday night Simon slammed Dannii over her song choice for Paije Richardson saying: 'Miss Minogue, whose responsibility it is, has slightly screwed this one up.’

Meanwhile Louis made his criticism of Cheryl for caring about herself rather than her acts.
