Sunshine Productions and Zee TV's 12/24 Karol Bagh to go off air.


Zee TV and Sunshine Production's '12/24 Karol Bagh' which gave viewers a realistic feel with its well-etched storyline will soon bid adieu.

Yes! You heard it right! The show which created a record of sorts to be the 1st entertainment show shot out of Mumbai is expected to end soon.

Our source informs us, "The decision to end '12/24 Karol Bagh' was taken by the channel. The show got a decent rating even after getting moved from the prime time slot to ealry evening slot. Probably this prompted the channel to bring a brand new show on this slot." Karol Bagh will end. But the date has not been decided.

While Sukesh Motwani, Fiction Head of Zee TV too confirmed that '12/24 Karol Bagh' is on its way out, he did not comment on the show which would be taking its place.

As per our source, "The channel had planned to end the show on October 15th. However there seems to be a change in the date as of now.

Zee TV is now all geared up for the launch of 'Dil Se Diya Vachan', produced by Film Farm. The show might get the 7:00 P.M slot. But going by the past experience, we get a feel that the channel might shuffle their existing line up once again and spring in a surprise.

  • Smiriti Kalra is an Indian television actress and model. She first appeared as a lead in 12/24 Karol Bagh as Simmi in Zee TV . She got fame with the young youth tv show Suvreen Guggal - Topper of The Year as Surveen that aired on Channel V. She was recently seen on StarPlus on a show Dil Sambhal Jaa Zara as Ahana.
  • 12/24 Karol Bagh is an Indian television comedy-drama series that aired on Zee TV set in the Karol Bagh area of Delhi. The series premiered on 31 August 2009. The series was directed by Ravi Bhushan shot in both Delhi and Mumbai studios. The story dealt with the conflicts between today's kids' generation and their parents. The series started the trend of TV serials being set in Delhi
ABOUT THE SHOW:
  • 12/24 Karol Bagh, Delhi is the address of the Sethi family. The head of the family is Mr.Rajinder Sethi who owns a shop selling bridal wear. He is a simple man who does not believe in God. His wife Manju Sethi is a practical woman who has a positive outlook towards life.
  • Simi(Smriti Kalra), the eldest daughter is 28 years of age and is still unmarried. Though she is soft-spoken and sweet, she is a bit plump. The second child is Anuj (Wasim Mushtaq) who works in a bank.
  • Anuj has a girlfriend but is waiting for his elder sister to get married. The third child is Neetu (Sargun Mehta) who is happy go lucky, extremely boisterous and whose only goal is to get married. And the youngest daughter is Mili (Hunar Hali) who is street smart, bold and realistic. Presently the biggest concern in the Sethi family is Simi's marriage as she has already been rejected 9 to 10 times.
  • As the story progresses, you get to see the Sethi family face various problems, always managing to stay together through thick and thin.
