Along with providing a prelude to the reality action show, the pulsating beats of the music trailer conveys the heightened level of risk attached to this new season. The trailer announces the names of the 13 screen goddesses who will be competing against each other in a rap-like rendition.

So, who are the 13 hotties who’ll be braving the treacherous African wilderness and all that lurks in it? This time around the line up boasts of names like .... With a season that promises a lot more sizzling drama and never-before-seen action and stunts, these 13 beauties will be facing their worst fears, while Akki will act as their friend, guide and morale booster.

During the 2006 Lakme India Fashion Week in Mumbai, Carol Gracias experienced a "wardrobe malfunction", when her halter top slipped off, totally exposing her breasts. Carol recovered quickly enough and completed the walk, holding her top in place. This minor incident caused a huge furore, with some members of the public accusing the organisers of the show of promoting obscenity. The matter was raised in the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly, where members condemned the organisers of the show.


Later, a local court ordered the police to investigate the incident, after a social activist, Prakash Rajdev, registered an FIR against the organisers of Lakme India Fashion Week and the models involved, alleging that the incidents were intentional and the models indulged in "nudity and obscenity" which constituted offences under the IPC.

Early Life

She studied in J.B. Vacha School, and graduated from Jai Hind College and Basant Singh Institute of Science, Churchgate, Mumbai, and is pursuing M.Com through correspondence.

She was recommended to Director Padam Kumar by Channel V's VJ, Purab Kohli, with whom she had worked on Zee TV's 'Hip Hip Hooray'.
