To make things a little more interesting at the office this year, we had a Christmas cubicle/office decorating contest. It was a blast! Everyone really got into the spirit and it made the past few weeks a whole lotta fun. I dubbed my office "Twinkling Treetops"...check out my sparkle and shine. PS...I won the prize for "Favorite Desk." Yahoo!

Default Desk Decoration Competition

The Holiday Season is a time for festive decorations, and the holidays are no exception. In the spirit of the season, why not decorate your desk with candy canes and streamers? You can also use plants and other decorations to brighten your space. No matter what holiday you celebrate, there is a desk decoration competition for you to join. Here are five ideas to get your creative juices flowing! And remember to save these ideas for future reference!

Decorate your desk for a holiday competition
Decorating your desk for a holiday competition can be a lot of fun and can get your office in the Christmas spirit! There's nothing better than decorating your desk with holiday decorations to lift everyone's spirits and lift your spirits! If you've been wanting to decorate your desk for a holiday competition, now is the time to do so! Parking BOXX recently hosted a holiday desk decorating competition. Employees from all over the company participated in a fierce competition by decorating their workspaces with Christmas decorations. Using multi-colored lights, glittery tinsel, and even miniature trees, these offices were transformed into a Winter Wonderland.

Decorate your desk with plants
A plant on your desk can add instant homeliness to your work space. Plants in a terrarium look particularly beautiful, and they can tie in with the furnishings in your office. However, these plants may take more care than those in other arrangements. In the meantime, they're a great way to add visual interest to your space. Here are some plants to consider for your desk. A potted orchid will add visual interest, but is a low-maintenance option that will last much longer than the flowers you'd buy in a florist's shop.

Decorate your desk with streamers
If you're not a fan of traditional Christmas decorations, you can use a few inexpensive items to spruce up your desktop. In fact, Oriental Trading even has a few items you can use to decorate your desk, such as colorful streamers. Using glue and old newspaper will protect your surface from paint and prevent them from smudging your desktop. And, if you're feeling ambitious, you can even make your own decorations!

Decorate your desk with candy canes
To add a festive holiday feel to your desk, decorate it with candy canes. These canes look great on their own or in a cluster on top of your workstation. If you are short on space, you can also decorate the entire desk with a Christmas tree made of cardboard. Choose from a real one, a feathered one, or a whimsical red wooden one. You can even make your own candy cane tree and fill it with candy canes!

Decorate your desk with mini wreaths
Christmas is just around the corner, and you can use mini wreaths to add festive cheer to your workspace. These small holiday decorations can be hung from windows and doors. For a unique touch, consider using removable adhesive hooks to hang wreaths. You can also hang stockings on peg shelves for a unique look around your desk. A string of intermittent blinking lights around the area below your desk can create a merry atmosphere.

Decorate your desk with North Pole Express décor
The holidays are coming - and what better way to celebrate than to decorate your desk with a few pieces of North Pole Express décor! These whimsical train figurines are shaped like two connecting train cars and add a touch of vintage charm to any desk or tabletop. The musical train has realistic facial expressions and moves dynamically to the music. It is perfect for creating a holiday spirit without breaking the bank!
