Star Plus with Sphere Origins brings its new show 'Gulaal Ke Sang' from next week.

Star Plus with Sphere Origins is all set to take off its new show Gulaal Ke Sang, with a concept that was kept very cagey till now.




The show that has a backdrop set in Kutch tells us the story of Gulaal, a 24 year old specially gifted girl, who is befuddled in the rivalry between her village Rashipur and Talsagra. The girl, who has the gift to sense water in the arid desert, takes the bold step of going against her family to help the villagers of Talasagra to find water.

About the role Mansi Parekh says "The role is really challenging as Gulaal is a girl who listens her mind and does whatever she thinks is right. She takes the tough decisions to step against her family to save an entire village which is in enmity with her own."

Her love interest in the show is Rahil Azam who plays the character of Vasant, a resident of Talasagra. Speaking about his role Rahil says "The role is very positive and the guy has a good reputation in the village as his father is the Mukhiya. He loves kids and protects the women community and also speaks for truth."

The show has a talented cast that includes Manoj Joshi who plays the character of Motabha, father of Vasant and Natasha who plays the character of Paanbha, Vasant's mother. Sushant Singh who was last seen in Sony TV's Viruddh will be seen essaying the role of Dushyant, the cousin of Vasant and has a grey shade in him. Pankaj Tripathi will be seen in the role of Gigaji, who too has a grey shade. Getting out of her sweet innocent character 'Bhakti' in Hamari Devrani, Krishna Gokani will be seen with a completely different look and attitude in Gulaal.

The show is indeed a fresh venture for Star Plus with its concept and outlook and the team is all set to go on air.

The show will be telecast from 15 November, Monday to Friday 9:00 pm in Star Plus.

Sushant Singh and Pankaj Tripathi are two more big names who will play vital roles in Star Plus' upcoming show Gulaal..



Source was the first to report about Sphere Origin's upcoming show Gulaal on Star Plus. Though the concept of the show is not clear yet but as the promos pose, the story is all about two rival villages and how the female protagonist fights for a cause, and that is too to stop the flow of the contaminated water into their village.

We already know that Rahil Azam and Mansi Parekh play the leads in the show. Known faces Aditi Tailang, Vineet Kumar, Manoj Joshi will be playing vital roles. As reported earlier, the show boasts of mant noted theater personalities playing important cameos.

The latest is that Sushant Singh who has done many Bollywood movies like The Legend of Bhagat Singh, Paathshala, Dum, Josh and many more will also be seen essaying a very prominent role in the show.

As per the buzz, Pankaj Tripathi who essayed the role of Naved Ahmed Ansari in the Yash Raj Films' show Powder on Sony TV will also be a part of the show.

Sushant Singh on contacted, refuted the buzz saying, "Right now I am at Bangkok and I am not at all willing to comment on the same."

However, our close source informs us that Sushant and Pankaj are part of Gulaal.

Gulaal is all set to replace the popular show of Rajan Shahi, Sapna Babul Ka Bidaai at the 9 PM slot from 15th of this month.

Sphere Origins' next big show on Star Plus, titled Gulaal will see famous Marathi and Bollywood actor Manoj Joshi playing a vital role..

Source was the first to report about Sphere Origin working on a big project for Star Plus. The show has a Gujarati backdrop, the shoot of which is reportedly happening in Jaisalmer. We were the first to report that versatile actor Rahil Azam and Mansi Parekh have been casted as the leads of the show.

This show which is titled 'Gulaal' will replace the popular show of Rajan Shahi, Sapna Babul Ka Bidaai. Bidaai is slated to end on a high note on November 13th.

The latest is that veteran actor Manoj Joshi has been roped in to play a vital role in Gulaal. We hear that the actor has already started shooting. Manoj, a very popular name in the Marathi theatre has done movies like Devdas, Sarfarosh, Hungama, Dhoom, Hulchul and many more..

When contacted, Manoj Joshi said, "I cannot comment anything as I have signed a contract".

Though nothing much has been revealed about the concept of the show, the channel and production house it seems, have a very interesting concept in hand, which guarantees very good ratings. The first promo of the show will hit the screens in a day or two.

When contacted, Producer Sunjoy Wadhwa said, "I cannot talk on the show now".

Krishna Gokani will be seen in a different look and attitude in Star Plus’ and Sphere Origin’s new venture 'Gulaal Ke Sang'


You saw her as sweet and ingenuous Bhakti in Star Plus' Hamari Devrani and after a break, Krishna Gokani will now be seen in a completely different prospect and stance in Star Plus new endeavour 'Gulaal Ke Sang'.

Describing about her role to Tellybuzz she says "My character name is Jhankana who is very different from my previous character Bhakti. Jhankana is a portrayed as a beautiful girl of today who is well educated and has her own values, principles and thinking. The character is grayish because of certain emotional circumstances that she had experienced. She begins as an unmarried girl in the show but later gets into matrimony with one of the prominent characters in Gulaal."

Excited being back with a show in Star Plus again she says "I am really very fortunate to be back in Star Plus and the feather in the cap is that I am working with Sphere Origin and we have Prime Time slot in the channel."

After being impersonated as an overnice and unselfish girl as Bhakti she is confident knowing her audience that they would appreciate her work and will love Jhankana more, than the love they had for Bhakti.

The audience will definitely get to see a new Krishna in Gulaal which will be on air from 15 November on Star Plus at 9:00 pm.
