Maha episode of Star Plus' Gulaal to reveal the man with whom Gulaal's marriage had been fixed years back...

Star Plus and Sphere Origin's recently launched show Gulaal will see its first Maha Episode on 18th December wherein the shocking truth about the guy with whom Gulaal's (Mansi Parekh) wedding had been fixed in childhood will get revealed.

As per the track, Gulaal has declared her love for Vasant (Rahil Azam) to her father, but her father is against the relationship as the family has already promised to wed Gulaal to a certain person.

The coming maha episode will see an electrifying twist where Gulaal will come face to face with the guy with whom her marriage had been fixed when she was a child. And the latest we hear is that the guy is none other than the one who was seen in the Devi's Temple doing Puja in the robe of a woman. The person is an ardent devotee of Mata and is of the trans-gender. He dresses up as a woman when he is serving the deity. The challenging character of the guy is essayed by Ujjwal Chopra who was last seen in Zee TV's Shree...

A source says, "In the Maha episode, Gulaal will come to know that the guy who she had met at the temple is the one with whom her marriage was fixed. That will be a major shock which Gulaal will face." We too hear that after knowing the truth, the show will move to a flashback sequence and will reveal why the guy has turned to a kinnar.

Our source states, "Kinnar's father would have ill-treated a certain group of people of trans-gender in the temple, and that is the reason why the kinnars had cursed his father saying that his son will be like them and will become a devotee of God. Once this track opens up, the marriage of Gulaal and Vasant might be on the cards".

We contacted Gulaal who says, "Saturday's maha episode will be much more shocking for Gulaal as she will come to know with whom her marriage was fixed in childhood. But I can't reveal much on it as you have to watch the show for the same".

Star Plus' Gulaal heads for a major turning point in coming Monday's episode wherein Vasant will be pronounced dead..

Star Plus' Gulaal will see a major highpoint in the coming Monday's episode when Vasant (Rahil Azam) will meet with a fatal accident and will be pronounced dead.

Gulaal's (Mansi Parekh) marital life will not be a bed of roses anymore as the Guruji will predict that Gulaal's husband will soon die and this will open a path for her second marriage.

According to our source, "In tonight's episode, Guruji will reveal the truth to Gulaal that Vasant's life is in danger and that he will probably not overcome the obstacle. However, Guruji advises Gulaal to do some special puja which she starts doing diligently. Gulaal has another problem in hand and that is the obsessed love that Dushyant (Sushant Singh) has towards her. She takes ill and there will be tension in the house with the doctor getting summoned. In order to keep Vasant along with her, she asks him to take her for a vacation. They both go out to spend some quality time but that is when the major mishap is supposed to happen".

We hear that Monday's episode will bring in some major drama with Vasant meeting with an accident. Though Vasant's body will not be got, all presume that it is highly impossible for him to have survived. Gulaal will be seen chanting the Maha Mrityunjay Jap to save her husband.

As a customary ritual, the future of the young widow Gulaal is being planned and that is when she is left with two options. She can either go back to her maayka or will get to marry one of the brothers of Vasant and stay in the same house as the daughter-in-law of the house. Will Gulaal go thro' the customary ritual 'Deyar Vatu'? Or will Vasant come back from the dead to stop her re-marriage from happening?

Star Plus' Gulaal will focus on the hospital sequences wherein the lady protagonist is pronounced to be in a critical condition..

Yesterday's episode of Gulaal on Star Plus saw the obsessive lover Dushyant (Sushant Singh) taking the drastic step of throwing his own brother Vasant (Rahil Azam) off the bridge!!

In a split second, Dushyant decides to **** his already wounded brother so that he could proclaim Gulaal's (Mansi Parekh) love.

Tonight's episode will focus on the hospital sequence where all the three, Gulaal, Motaba (Manoj Joshi) and Paanba are admitted.

Our source states, "Dushyant's obsessive nature has turned him dark, and soon after throwing his brother into water he calls for an ambulance to take Gulaal and the rest of the family to the hospital. Dushyant will hide this secret within himself, and will tell Gulaal's parents that Vasant has gone missing after the accident and he could not find him at the accident spot. He tells them that when he landed at the place, he could see only Motaba, Paanba and Gulaal and saved them".

There will be few tension-filled moments in the hospital as the doctors say that Gulaal has suffered a major head injury. Even Motaba and Paanba have not got back to their conscious state.

When contacted, Mansi Parekh aka Gulaal tells us, "Yes, Gulaal is admitted in hospital and is critical. The whole village is praying for her recovery and the mood is quite tense right now. Gulaal's parents have decided not to tell Gulaal about Vasant going missing after the accident".

Sushant Singh feels good with a different layer of Dushyant's character coming to the fore. "Dushyant's obsession for Gulaal has turned wild and he ****ed his brother without a second thought. However, he will have this guilt in his heart forever. As an actor, it feels nice to be portraying a character with lot many layers in it; Dushyant is not the typical two dimensional guy who is shown to be good in the beginning and later turns out to be very bad. Here, we see the growth in his character from a simple guy to a lover turning obsessive, and now he has completely lost his mind and has become a ******er".

The presumed death of Vasant brings the track of 'Diyar Vatu' to the fore. The ratings of Gulaal has been mediocre from the start, and the channel and production house expect the ratings to rise high once Gulaal is forced with the option of marrying her husband's brother..

As Star Plus' Gulaal readies for its major highpoint of Deeyar Vatu, we wonder if this track can help the show regain its lost TRP....

Star Plus and Sphere Origin's Gulaal has reached a dramatic highpoint wherein after Vasant's (Rahil Azam) death, Gulaal (Mansi Parekh) is left stranded and has to make the decision of her life, that is whether to leave Talsagra as a widow, or to stay back to protect her family and nurture her husband's dream...

The fact however, is that though the show is moving towards its major concept of Deeyarvatu, the show on the whole has been faring very badly on the ratings chart. Gulaal had not opened to great TRPs, but was faring on an average basis with a TRP hovering near the 3 mark. But the death of Vasant has indeed brought down the ratings, which now stands at a dismal 2 mark.

The slow story post Vasant's death has only left the audience to wonder whether there is anything more left in the show!! Even the Maha Episodes shown recently have not been able to get a decent rating, and this is certainly a matter of concern for the channel and production house!!

At this stage comes the Deeyar vatu, the custom wherein a woman is encouraged to marry her brother-in-law (devar) after the death of her husband. With Motabha ill and Paanba tending to him, there is nobody to protect Vasant's youngest brother Kesar. Now Gulaal has a decision to make, and will stay back to protect the family and gets with the tradition of Deeyarvatu and marries her 10 years old brother in law.

The question that prevails now is - Will this track really work? Can it have a stong connect with the viewers? We contacted Mansi Parekh who confirmed that the Deeyar vatu is indeed happening, in which Gulaal choses to marry Kesar and not the evil Dushyant (Sushant Singh).

Talking about the dipping TRPs Mansi says, "Apparently viewers wanted to see more of Rahil Azam on the show as he is a fine actor. The show has lost on TRP's after his death, but I am sure that with this twist, our ratings will definitely grow up." Like Mansi, we also hope that this twist works in favour of the show!! But will it really happen? Only time will tell...

Krishna Gokani who presently essays the role of Zankhana in Star Plus' Gulaal will be the protagonist of Imagine and BAG Films' upcoming show..

Krishna Gokani, who earlier played the protagonist in Star Plus' Hamari Devrani has bagged her next lead role in Imagine and BAG Films' upcoming show, Luteri Dulhann.

As per latest reports, Priyal Gor who had been finalized to play the title role has been replaced, and it is Krishna who has been roped in now.

Our source states, "The shoot for the BAG show was to start few days back, but the channel and production house postponed things as they were looking for options beyond Priyal Gor. Krishna Gokani who is presently seen in Sphere Origin's show on Star Plus, Gulaal fit the bill of the protagonist perfectly and she has been finalized. Krishna actually was present in the first day of shoot that took place yesterday".

We hear that Krishna has apparently worked out things with Sphere Origin and has left Gulaal. Luteri Dulhann will have a very crisp never-seen-before concept and is expected to go on air sometime in March. The male lead for the show has not been finalized yet.

When contacted, Krishna Gokani refused to comment. We could not get thro' to Priyal Gor. Raakesh Paswan, the Writer of Luteri Dulhann said, "I can only tell you that this show is for viewers who have been craving to see something different. This is an experimental concept which has not been touched upon on television so far. This is basically a film script which I am using for television. I cannot comment on the cast, but I can assure you that the show will have very good actors".

TellyBuzz has already reported that the likes of Smita Singh, Yajuvendra Singh and Sitaram Panchal will be essaying important roles in the show.. We contacted Saurabh Tewari, Head of Programming – Fiction, Imagine TV but he remained unavailable.
