What's life without comedy! It makes us forget our worries and laugh out loud. We round up the top comedy shows of this year. Take a look:

Comedy Nights with Kapil (Colors/K9 and Sol)

One of the most popular shows that has celebrities and audiences going nuts is Kapil Sharma's skit-like comedy show. It has an ensemble cast that mixes fun with humour and witty one lines with crazy dance steps. Even the celebs on the show put forth their funny faces! Ah, well.

Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah (SAB TV/ Neela Telefilms)

It's definitely the longest and most popular show on television right now. If you want to forget your worries and just relax, tune into this show. It has everyday issues dealt in a humorous and practical way. If you don't believe us, watch an episode right now!

FIR (SAB TV/ Edit II Productions)

The show that made Kavita Kaushik a household name, is also the one we like to unwind with. While SAB TV has a host of comedy shows for a fun viewing experience, FIR puts a spin on it by tackling everyday issues that involve inspector Chandramukhi Chautala (Kaushik).

    Lapataganj (SAB TV/Garima Productions)

Situated at an imagery town, the series portrays the struggles of people in a long-forgotten town. They might lack basic facilities and necessities, but they are happy and satisfied. The show became a hit for its funny situation comedy and great writing.

Gutur Gu Season 3 (SAB TV/Fireworks)

India's first silent comedy follows the life and chronicles of Balu, his wife and his extended family. The confusions he creates and the situations he gets into forms the crux of the comedy show. It's unique as none of the characters speak with each other onscreen.

Badi Dooooor Se Aaye Hain (SAB TV/ Hats Off Productions)

The show has become a hit with the audiences, thanks to some great acting. It follows the life of the Ghotala family, who seem like a normal family but are aliens in reality. The problems the arise out of their secret forms the basis of the show.

    Comedy Classes (Life OK/
    Optimystix Productions)
Unlike other shows, this series takes place in an acting institute where students enact funny scenes. On the steps of the popular show of the 80s Zabaan Sambhalke, this series also takes on a teacher-student situational comedy.
